Reiki 1 & 2

Philadelphia Community Acupuncture

Reiki Level 1

Tuesdays 5:30-8:30pm, January 13-March 17, 2009

This 10 week course combines hands-on practice with classroom training, and is appropriate for professional development and personal enrichment. Students will develop the ability to give Reiki to themselves and others.

Two of the ten classes are public clinics, where members of the community will be invited to receive Reiki at no cost from the students to allow for practice while simultaneously supporting our community.

Curriculum includes:

• All Reiki Level 1 Attunements

• History of Reiki

• Theories of the Human Energy System

• Practical application & hands on training (with one another & volunteers)

• Best Practices

• Professional obligations, applicable legalities & insurance information

• Importance of Self-care

Please note that this is a very comprehensive Reiki 1 course, and students will be required to display a thorough understanding of all curriculum points as well as practical application in order to receive certification. Strict attendance requirements must also be met for successful completion of the course.

Tuition for this course includes Reiki Level 1 Manual and recycled 3-ring notebook. Students are required to bring with them a journal and a pen.

Reiki Level 2

(Prerequisite-Reiki Level 1)

Wednesdays 5:30-8:30pm, January 14-March 18, 2009

Also 10 weeks in length, the focus of Reiki 2 is deepening our relationship with Reiki energy and exploring new ways of using it. Subjects include sending Reiki over a distance and using the sacred symbols.

Three of the ten classes will be public clinics. These more advanced student sessions will be packaged as three sessions per client with the same student practitioner, allowing for practice of continued care in a professional setting.

The three treatment package will be offered to the community on a low-cost sliding scale basis, with all proceeds benefiting a local charitable cause.

Please note that the attendance policy applies for this course as well.

While this class is offered to those who studied Reiki 1 elsewhere, prospective students are required to meet with Danielle to discuss their previous training prior to enrollment. The additional purchase of Danielle's Reiki Level 1 Manual is required at an additional cost of $10.

• Two class absences will result in a failure to complete the course, classes will need to be made up at student's expense to obtain certificate.

• Arriving to class more than 10 minutes after class start time is considered "late". Two "late" occurrences is equivalent to an absence.

• Students MUST attend all public clinics. While all reasonable attempts will be made to accommodate students in a way that does not present any additional cost/time commitment on part of Danielle, if this cannot be arranged, the student will be required to make up their clinic at their own expense to successfully complete the course.

Sliding Scale Tuition

My mission is to bring quality Reiki education to people and communities who would not otherwise have access to it. I offer these classes on a sliding scale basis to help eliminate class division as an obstacle to the healing arts. For this reason, I feel that the student's ability to pay for the training needs to be a factor in determining tuition. Please keep in mind that the sliding scale is a guideline. You know your financial situation and are the best authority in determining what is affordable to you. That is why there is no income verification. Pay what you can.  Please note the non-refundable deposits that are required for each class's enrollment. 

Payment plans are also available, and must be arranged in advance-please contact me ASAP to do so.

Philadelphia Community Acupuncture is a beautiful space in what used to be a firehouse.  It is on the third floor of a building with NO ELEVATOR.  If this presents a problem, please let me know.
